For the distinguished Columbia University Medical Center, Central Moving provided office relocation, warehouse and asset management, project management, liquidation, and the relocation of sensitive laboratories and libraries during its 175,000-square-foot move from 16 East 60th Street to 51 West 51st Street.
Challenge: To move 400 people in 22 separate departments, each with individual needs in addition to moving confidential patient records, artwork, PC equipment, medical supplies and other equipment, along with furniture, including exam tables and freezers.
Central Moving: Since each department was seeing patients up to the weekend of the move, we carefully scheduled and coordinated our team members so that the move would be accomplished in one weekend.
