John Lappetito

Managing Principal

John brings more than 40 years of office moving leadership to Central Moving projects and clients.

Since joining Central Moving & Storage in 1988, John has led relocation projects for some of New York City’s most notable companies and institutions.

The Port Authority of New York & NJ: Central Moving moved 1,500 people into 450,000 square feet at 4 World Trade Center. The Port Authority was the first tenant to return to the Trade Center site since the 9/11 attacks.

The Whitney Museum of American Art: Central Moving moved the museum to the base of the High Line on Gansevoort Street.

Museum of Modern Art: A 700,000-square-foot renovation and expansion project that required Central Moving to move the museum to MOMA QNS and other locations and return the museum to its headquarters following the completion of construction two years later.

AC Hotel by Marriott: Central Moving performed all warehousing, delivery, and installation of all FF&E as well as the storage and delivery of construction materials and back-of-the-house items for this 300-room hotel in Times Square.

John has a BA in Marketing from Iona College. When not managing the company and servicing clients, you can find John coaching youth sports, out on the golf course or traveling with his wife and children.
